Definitions (See the
programme):
Invited
speaker
The presentation
should preferably deal with topics which are related to but not a
part of, classic research usually encountered in research on paratuberculosis.
The presentation
will be 45 minutes.
3-4 presentations
are scheduled.
Keynote
speaker
Two keynote presentations
are appointed for each theme.
The presentation is selected
among the best submissions of the theme. The two keynote speakers
appointed should usually represent different topics, e.g. Immunology
as one presentation and Pathogenesis as another in Theme 2.
The presentation should
in general only contain own results, but they could be from multiple
studies.
The length of a presentation
is 25 minutes.
Short
oral presentation
These presentations
comprise results of own results only and are selected to represent
the remainder of a theme not addressed by the keynote speakers. The
presentations have a length of 10 minutes including discussion.
Review
and Perspective presentations (R&P presentations)
For each theme except Theme
1 (Prevention and Control – National level) two R&P presentations
are made. These presenters should review the newest results (last
5 years) including abstracts submitted to the 8ICP. Besides the review,
perspectives of the findings should be included. Overlapping between
presentations should be avoided.
R&P presenters are people
expected to join the conference regardless of being appointed as for
the job. The speaker pays travel expenses. Registration fee is paid
by ICP
The presentations are 25
minutes each.
Parallel
sessions
Two themes, 3a and 3b, are
run as parallel sessions, but with a similar frame to the remainder
of the themes.
Posters
Presentations not offered
an oral presentation should be offered a poster presentation and all
presenters are encouraged to present their results as a poster, including
presentations that have been presented orally. No poster will be turned
down for poster presentation except if the message is not clearly
presented.
All posters are present
during the entire colloquium. However, on specific days specific themes
are accentuated, primarily by requiring the authors to be present
during part of the poster viewing session.
Lunch bags are offered in
the Marble Hall next to the poster viewing area.
