Transportation

 

Due to the well-established infrastructure, travelling to Copenhagen is an easy task. From Copenhagen Airport, the largest airport in Scandinavia with several transcontinental departures daily, the city centre is reached by train in just 13 minutes. Copenhagen Metro have opened, providing a rapid means of transportation in central Copenhagen. The S-trains and numerous buses connect the Copenhagen surroundings in an efficient way.

Scandinavian Airline System SAS has been appointed the official airline for the IBBY Congress 2008. Reduced rates for tickets to Denmark as well as to the other Scandinavian Countries are available.

Passports/Visa
A valid passport is required for entry into Denmark. Participants requiring a visa are strongly advised to
apply at least 3 month before their intended date of travel.
